Under the patronage and guidance of Mr. Hamed Ahmed Faraj, Chairman of CAMA, a meeting was held at CAMA building on Thursday 19.12.2013 chaired by Dr. Mazen Ahmed Ghanem the G.D of air transport, and representatives of airlines operating companies in the Republic of Yemen, and representatives of automated reservation systems, and the Yemeni tourism and travel.
The goal of such meeting to establish a Council on the organization of air transport market under the auspices of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology, in coordination with all parties of air travel market in Yemen, all agreed to establish a joint council means that under the title of (the Coordination Council of air travel market), headed by the CAMA and the membership of the rest of the participants in this meeting.
During the meeting, the mission and objectives and actions that will be adopted by the Council had been discussed also, and agreed to held periodic meetings on a quarterly basis (every three months) unless needs called for an emergency meeting.
The meeting addressed and reviews certain provisions of the draft list of activity exercise for travel agencies in Yemen which is due to be adopted soon.
This meeting was attended by some of the leaders of the General Directorate of Air Transport.
